An excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer Manager has arisen within this leading international engineering business with a strong reputation for innovation supplying major global customers in strong niche markets. Job title: Project Engineer Manager Department: Power/Train Pay Rate: £24 per hour ( Limited Company ) Contract Duration: 6 months Location: Warwickshire (commutable from Coventry, Solihull, Leamington, Warwick, Banbury, Oxford, Rugby, Daventry, Stratford areas) The role Part of the Powertrain Project Management team delivering all Powertrain program actions into production on time having successfully met all performance, durability, attribute and cost targets. Key responsibilities will include: management of team members and functional representatives, facilitation of issue resolution, component & system design releases, cost, weight and assumption management, advising line management of deviations to the plan and driving solutions and corrective actions. The role will require the successful applicant to ensure that all Powertrain elements of the program are delivered on time and with Quality Skills Required: Good overall Powertrain system knowledge. Computer literate in Google, PowerPoint, Excel and Microsoft Project. Valid UK driving licence. Ability to interface directly to the vehicle programme teams and represent the Powertrain Department. Flexible, adaptable and excellent communicator Written / Oral. Skills Preferred: Working knowledge of project delivery & change management processes including GPDS, AIMS, WERS and eFDVS. Knowledge of relevant quality tools ie FMEA, 8D etc Experience Required: Powertrain system design / development or programme management. Experience Preferred: specific process knowledge ideally gained in Product Development environment. Education Required: It is anticipated that applicants will be educated to a degree level in an engineering or automotive discipline.
